| Header and Footer always hidden in MS Word 2003
Whenever I open MS Word and a new document, the header/footer is always hidden from view. I have modified the normal.dot so that the opening view is always "Print layout" and have data in both the header and footer, so that a new/blank document will always contain header and footer text. When I open a new document, this is always hidden from view. When I select the "View" menu option, it shows to be in "Print mode" (as I wanted it to), however I have to select the "Header and Footer" option to reveal this in the document. No matter what I try to do, I have to repeat this everytime I open a new word document - SO frustrating..... I want the header and footer to always be visible when opening a new document. Can anyone suggest what is wrong or what I need to do to correct ? |

Hi John, When scrolling the document as you pass the 'gap' between two pages if the cursor changes, double click there to have the header/footer reappear or use the 'White space...' setting in Tools=>Options=>View ============= <<"Piper John" <PiperJohn@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:14E0C25E-0EFA-4423-8E5A-2AA46E1D311F@microsoft.com...
