how do i remove MSOcache for office 2007?

I recently installed Office 2007 one of my office PC. Later I tried to remove MSOcache folder but I dint found it anywhere. Hence ran Windows Disk CleanUp utility but there was not a single file listed abut Office 2007. Later I tried to remove it buy using Office 2003 utility but it freezes before launching and says some dll file is missing. That too dint worked.

So any one of you have any knowledge about removing MSOCache folder ? Please help.

I think you cannot delete MSOCache folder in Office 2007, its been designed by Microsoft itself. It was only available for Office 2003. I guess this is because when you repair Office 2007it tries to restore the MSOCache back to your system. You can get more about this here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924616/en-us.

BTW, why do you want to remove it. It uses to be very small in size, about 4 to 8 MB. I don’t think it is eating up your disk space neither it creates any problem.

But still if you want you can give it a try using LISTTOOL.EXE. You can get more info about this tool here How to delete MSOCache folder?

You may be bit wrong Hockson. That folder wont be such small every time. I have been through this problem couple of months ago and In my case it was Office 2003 created two MSOcache, one on C: and another on D:. And the size were 529Mb + 290MB. In short it was eating up my more than 800MB of disk. Hence I think it should be removed. I used the same tool you mentioned above.
