Downgrade office from 2007 to 2003

One of my friend has bought a new Dell PC that came with Office 2007 Basic pre installed. It seems like MS Word and Excel are not compatible with his customer db program (goldmine) hence he want to revert back to its Office 2003 with which he feels more comfortable. Now the problem is we don’t have Office 2003 disk or previous installs. Still Can we downgrade this Office 2007 to 2003 ?

As far as I know Office 2007 Basic Edition is an OEM version. And according to OEM Licensing, OEM versions of applications software do not grant downgrade rights. Infact, they come and they die with the device. You cannot transfer the, upgrade or degrade them .

Hence if you guys are willing to go for Office 2003 you will need to buy a new Disk for the same.

There is no way to downgrade to 2003 in OEM versions. The only way is to remove it, buy Office 2003 and install the same. But still what you can do is, for a try, talk to your vendor and see if they can help you out in any way.
