Install 64bit Components of Office 2007 on 32bit

I can find some Office 2007 x64 components in Enterprise media at my office. Now it is a bit strange to find the same. I want to know one thing. That if I installed Office 2007 32bit and then add those 64bit components on it. Will that work. In this way I can have all those stuffs that I really need. The OS that I would be using will Windows XP 64bit or Windows Vista 64bit.

I do not think that will work. To add those component you need the 64bit edition of OS. And that is the only way it is going to work without any error. There can be issue with compatibility settings and that is not going to work well if you use the common editions of files. Run the setup and then check. Because if 64bit is not compatible with those 32bit installation file then you will get a error on your screen.

Do you have the retail DVD of Microsoft Office 2007. For 64bit system I would recommend not to touch anything. It is not worth at all. I am using a 64bit version of Office and it works quiet fine. On 32bit edition it would not be compatible to install those stuff. You might land up in some errors. Even though a number of 64bit bit supports all kind of 32bit applications and it must be working. I am still not sure about the same. I have a Windows server which is a 64bit system and due to this compatibility stuff I ignore testing on it. It would make my system unstable and so the entire network also.

I am not able to understand what you are actually about. Just get a 64bit edition and then run those additional component. To some extent there is no need to add 64bit components in your system. It is not really required. Updates can help you here to some extent.
