What language did you specify in the dropdown on the first page asking for
your email address?

Re: The language of this installation is not supported by your sys

I downloaded the Beta 2 on msdn.microsoft.com, english version.
When I run the beta 2 setup, the first alert is "The language of this
installation is not supported by your system".
So, there was no option for selecting an email address :-(
I extracted the files from the ISO file to my harddisk. One thing I have to
mention is dat I uninstalled Office 2007 pre-release by Add/remove programs.

Re: The language of this installation is not supported by your sys

Hello,

if you create an iso-file directly from the executable (with WinRAR o.a.)
the folder structure in teh iso is missing.

Please run the executable and create the iso from your temp-folder.

regards

Re: The language of this installation is not supported by your sys

Hello,

this will only work, if you've downloaded an executable file, not an img-file.

The img-file of the SPS32 is already in an iso compliant format.

Re: The language of this installation is not supported by your sys

Hi Gerry,

Assuming this is the first 2007 Office product you're installing, and you're installing on a version of Windows XP (which includes
Media Center), see if these steps help.
===========
1. Use Start=>Programs=>Accessories=>Disk Cleanup
clear your Internet files and temp files then
restart your PC.

2. Locate your 2007 Office Professional Beta 2
download file and note the folder/path location.

3. Create a new folder on your PC and note that
folder/path location.

4. Use Start=>Run , and on a single line type in
the following (using the path & file names from Step 2 & 3)
and leaving out the brackets

"drive:\Step2PathOfDownload\downloadfilename.exe" /extract:"Step3path"

example: (assuming you saved to a 'downloads' folder and created a new folder named Off2007ProB2CD1) the Start=>Run line would look
like this

"c:\downloads\OPPLUS-EN.EXE" /extract:"C:\Off2007ProB2CD1"

If the extraction is successful (you'll get a dialog box telling you it was after a few minutes) then run setup from your new 2007
Office folder. (Be sure to backup your files and shutdown all other
running apps including antivirus software before starting 2007 Office setup)

If the extraction doesn't succeed then the download may be damaged/corrupted.
Use Start=>Run and type
%temp%
and locate the Setup-xxxxx.log
(file) just created and see if it has any clues on where the extraction failed.

Post back with the results please.
