Can't convert from trial to full version

Hello,

I just downloaded Office 2007 trial version to my computer and it's
already in reduced functionality mode, despite the fact that I've
already activated it. I've followed all the steps on the MS web site
and even tried deleting the opa12.dat file and restarting. When I go
the activation wizard and hit "convert," nothing happens. The timer
comes up for a second or two, and then nothing.

I've tried reinstalling. No luck.

What's the problem here?

How did you activate the Trial before you downloaded it and what are you trying to
convert. Can you explain yourself a little more in detail

When I downloaded the trial, it asked me if I wanted to activate and I
did. The program now says that my trial lasts through Feb 2010. The
problem is when I hit "convert" [to full version], nothing happens. I
can't enter a full version activation key or anything. What should I
do?

Did you purchase a full version conversion activation key from Digital River
(Microsoft)? You convert from a trial to a paid for version.

Since the trial doesn't work, did the computer every have a trial version of
Office on the computer before. If it did that is the issue you are having.
One trial per "year" version (2003, 2007, etc.) per customer.

It's possible the computer had a trial version in the past, but even
still, how do I install the full version? I have the full version
disk, but after I install it, it still remembers the trial version and
won't let me convert to the full version.

You need to ensure that all traces of the trial version have been removed,
along with any activation assistant and then reboot the computer prior to
installing the paid for full version. If you still try to install and it
fails then follow the instructions here for removing Office installs.

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b/928218/en-us I have given the
manual instructions as the automatic version of this doesn't work all the
time.

To remove Office 2003 trial versions substitute
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0 for
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0 when in the registry.
