Error 1706 Setup cannot find the required files

I always install required applications from Office suite. Similarly on my new Windows XP SP3 desktop first I installed Word, Excel and Outlook that got installed successfully without any problem. But now when am trying to installed OneNote form the same Office 2007 disk, installation wizard quits giving me an error with Code “Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files” or something like this.

It need some file named setup.chm. I don’t know where is this file located, I dint find it on my entire computer. Can anyone please help me installing OneNote successfully?

SOLVED! Re: Error 1706 Setup cannot find the required files

I have been through this exact error while trying to install OneNote 2007 on my another system having Office installed with another disk. After long workaround I came to know that it was related with MSOCache\All Users folder. I checked it was just empty. Just as a trial what I did was copied MSOCache\All Users folder from my another PC to this one and problem solved. My OneNote installed smoothly. Give it a try and see if it works for you as well.
