| MODI, Microsoft Office Document Imaging and 2003/2008 server
Hello, I am currently trying to find out if there is way to install the MODI modules as standalone components on a Windows server, 2003 and eventually 2008. If MODI cannot be setup as a standalone module which can integrate into a custom application, do we have to run a full fledged install of Office 2003/2007 onto the servers? I have a custom application which uses MODI to do some OCR, but want to be able to roll it into a server side module. I know one can use dedicated OCR engines, however at this point I would like to be able to leverage the MODI components as they integrate natively with my ..NET application. Any suggestions would be welcome. |
