installation of Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student

Downloaded set up files. I entered product key. Office begins to install.
In fact the bar that shows the amount of installation complete becomes fully
green. However, the screen never goes away. 2 hrs later it still say
installation in progress. I stop the installation and no OFFIce. What is
blocking or keeping Office from completely installing??

Did you uninstall any Office trial software from the computer first? If no,
attempt to remove the S & H version then the trial software, reboot and then
attempt reinstall of Office 2007.

If any error messages appear, report them exactly and we will attempt to
help more.

I had trial versions that were attempted to be uninstalled. That was a
process. I followed possibly 4 pages printed to remove registries ,
etc....Now that there is a partial installment of S&H due to possible
fragments of the Trial Version Professional Left over??

What is MSXML files/programs?? Over the last week , when following
directions to manually remove OFFICE Professional Trial, I would get a
message unable to remove file/program due to erro message "another program is
being installed ,...please wait " ...... h

You may be able to uninstall all portions of Office with the Office removal
tool downloadable from here
http://www.microsoft.com/office/orkarchive/2003ddl.htm (about half way down
page and is Office 2003 Edition Resource Kit)
