How hackers made money through Google and Apple

Some time ago, the malware has infected many Flashback Mac computers. The authors who are behind have accumulated as much as $ 10,000 per day through an ingenious system.

The hackers responsible for the malware Flashback , a Trojan horse that had the target Mac computers, fired some nice profits for their misdeeds. This is the conclusion reached by the specialized site Symantec, relayed Generation NT.

In the PC itself, the malware came from a fake update of Adobe Flash Player, which is known to be used for watching videos. Once the virus is on the hard drive, the attacker can tap without much trouble bank details and passwords. Apple responded to it and of course, removed the first vulnerability. After this "shock" was overcome only once, it was not long until the next disaster came. It has been detected a new Trojan horse that drives under the name "PubSab" mischief. The procedure is similar, because the Trojans took advantage of vulnerability in Java. On the drive, it came across Word documents, which were mostly annexed by e-mail.

Using a Java vulnerability that Apple has been slow to fill, there is attracting a lot of criticisms, hackers have managed to divert a portion of advertising revenues Google, up to $ 10,000 per day. A substantial amount but is easily explained. Thus, attackers hijacked advertising revenues that should have come back to Google, to the tune of $ 0.08 per click.

According to Symantec, a component of the virus "Flashback" is the search engine Google's browser Chrome, Safari, or Firefox, and redirect users to pages controlled by hackers who then get commissions advertising theoretically supposed to return to Google to the tune of about 8 cents per click. Which can amount to a 0000 dollars falling into the hands of pirates instead of those of the giant internet every day, Symantec has calculated, based on hundreds of thousands of infected computers.

Apple last month launched a "patch" designed to overcome the virus Flashback infesting Mac, having identified a flaw in Java programs. The virus is under the command of computer servers "hosted by malicious authors" and Apple is working with ISPs to "disable the network".

The big culprit is a virus called Flashback that has been circulating since September 2011, although its virulence has been increased in recent days, reaching 600,000 infected computers. This malware exploits a vulnerability in Java (code using numerous websites and programs to display content) injecting code in web browsers or other applications to collect passwords and personal information of users and which are sent from time to time to hackers automatically. According to experts, the virus is introduced into the computer with a fake prompt to upgrade Adobe Flash. Apple has always said that PCs are more 'vulnerable to hacker attacks Macs But according to the director of McAfee, Dave Marcus, things are changing and there is' "a transition" from the world of the PC to the Mac

    ohhh! That is ridiculous.

i didn't thought that hackers could hit the 2 Giants in that manner. Hackers usually try to make money by selling virus and hacking tools. Some hackers steal credit card details, back details and ATM details etc to steal money from others. But this is the first time a hacker tried a unique approach technique to make money and they achieved it successfully.

$10000 per day is not a small amount and the news is that this virus or Trojan has been active from the last year. So i assume that so far it had collected huge amount of money from Google. I don't know what is the technique behind this virus or attack but i am sure that it is really really unique. If anyone know more about it, please keep us updated.
