unable to delete autorun.inf

cAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY AM NOT ABLE TO DELETE THE AUTORUN.INF FILE FROM MY PEN DRIVE THROUGH COMMAND PROMPT?

If you want to delete the autorun.inf file then follow the steps below:

• When you computer is off you need to plugin the usb drive.
• Now just insert the Cd of Windows xp in your drive.
• Now when you start your computer the setup screen gets loaded.
• Now just press "R"
• Then you need to enter the “1" and press enter.
• Now you need to give administrator password.
• Now you will get the prompt of C:\Windows>
• Just type the command below:
  - Type G:
  - Type attrib -h -r -s autorun.inf
  - Type “edit autorun.inf”
• Here you will need to remember the file name.
• Now exit the dos prompt.
• Now type the command below:

• del /f /a file.exe
  del /f /a autorun.inf

• Just type the exit.

Your problem has been solved.

Please check what you are deleting. You trying to delete "autorum.inf" instead of "autorun.inf". "autoruN" is mispelled to "autoruM". Computer does it work in GIGO format. Garbage In-Garbage Out.

Basically autorun.inf is a virus and you cannot delete that file, if you really don't want to have autorun.inf on your system then i guess you have to format your system and install a fresh copy of operating system, but before formatting your system i would suggest you to check out below links for more solutions

It's a virus!!! and maybe it already Corrupted your file!!
