Do i have to have a phone line for alarm system

I am using MTNL land line phone on that i heard that they provides alarm service i want to know do i have to have a phone line for alarm system on MTNL ?

I don't think such type of service MTNL provides. You can set alarm in your mobile phone also. On landlines phone such type of service not available. On TATA and Reliance wireless landline phone this facility available
