Will any AT&T SIM card work in an iPhone

I have an AT&T SIM card with unlimited data plan. I would like to try a new Apple iPhone. But I am in doubt whether it will work with my card. I have read many places where people says they are unable to use there SIM card on their iPhone. Can you tell me if I can use my AT&T SIM card on iPhone?

This was the problem with previous versions of iPhone. Apple iPhones would only accept the SIM which was activated alongwith it. But things have changed with the iPhone 3G. Apple iPhone 3G works with any AT&T SIM once activated.

It should definitely work even without iphone 3G. In fact there is not relation with sim card and mobile phone. The only important thing is that AT&T should find the IMEI number of the mobile phone. Its better if you get yet another opinion from AT&T and see what they say. If they say it doesn't then at&t should give you a sim card for free for iphone because you are an existing customer.

Don't worry, you are having AT&T sim card. There is no problem with this sim card. Yes you are right that iPhone have problem of not working with many of the sim cards but there is no problem noticed till now regarding its incompatibility for AT&T sim cards. They work absolutely fine with iPhone. Just go for it.
