Why does YouTube allows ten minute video uploading limit?

i have a question why youtube such a popular website provided by Google only allowing a 10 minute up loading limit??

Many people utilizing the facility of uploading their videos on youtube
in fact it 's a popular site..millions accessing the site simultaneously,just think if this people are going to up load big files how much server size google need??

so if you want to upload big files think about making your own server and website

I understand they don't do it because it is routing all this traffic through the servers,but I am a crazy
poker player and we record our games to show others and get feedback on our games.

think this way uploading your videos part by part,if it limits up to 10 minutel

If they stretch it even a little,things become bit easy,but it is stupid of course breaking 15-16 minutes videos..i wish if they can increase the length at least to 15 minutes if possible..!!
