help with my dm111p modem

hi this senthel ,i have a dm111p net gear adl2 modem a wgr 614 wireless router,now i connected my modem to my laptop modem is not talking to my system,my system has appipa,so manually set the ip address as 192.168.0.1and subnet mask:255.255.255.0,df gt:192.168.0.1 and the dns as global dns,now ping the 192.168.0.1 result is pac sent 4 ,rec 4 lost 0% and the light status of the modem is power light solid red,ethernet light blinking green,adsl light solid green,internet light is off ,in the address bar typed 192.168.0.1 hit enter result page a box appeared asking work off line or connect,i select the option connect,then page cannot be displayed,i am not able to log in to my modem web page,i dont know what is stopping me to log into my modem web page either my browser settings or my modem is creating the problem,right now i am going on line through a dial up connection ,i connected my wifi router to my system ,set ip to get the ip add automatically then ipconfig my laptop is talking to my wifi router this connection is made manually through an ethernet cable and a tried through wireless my laptop is talking to my router can login to the router web page so my system is fine, disconnected the router connected my modem to the network configured the ip add manually but not able to get inside the modem web page should i do some changes in the ipadd,subnetmask,dfgt and dns or change the browser settings, i did a hard reset also in my modem using a pen pressed the reset button hold it for 30 sec but no use the only change is the solid red power light changed to blinking green that is it everything remains the same can anyone help me out a detailed notes of the things what should i do please,
