How can i disable Microsoft Security Essentials temporarily

There use to be few applications which i need to install sometimes for temporary basis due to some important work but as you all might be aware many .exe files are made in a way that they get detected as virus by your security system. I am having Microsoft Security Essentials installed on this Windows 7 which blocks those installation. Hence i wanted to know if there is any way we can disable the antivirus temporarily for about 3 to 4 hours? If yes, please let me know soon.

You can simply kill the process from Task Manager, thats it. There will be no MSE running in the background. See the image below:

Once you are done with your task and want to re-enable it, launch it from Start Menu, the protection will be On again.

Instead of killing the process, there is an alternate and better way to do the same. You can disable the real time protection from the MSE options itself. Here is how to do the same:
    • Open Microsoft Security Essentials.
    • Click Settings Tab
    • Click Real Time Protection from the left pane
    • On the right pane, simply uncheck the box saying "Turn on real-time protection"

I don’t think it is a tough job.
