Spybot scan shows Babylon.Toolbar – Adware C threats

I don’t know from where Tencent AdressBar has entered my system, I am having Spybot installed but it is not removing Tencent.AdressBar. I have made sure that I am running it as admin but no avail, is there anyhow I can get rid of this? Help regarding this will be appreciated.

I think Babylon.Toolbar might have got installed without your knowledge, it is an Adware and it gets installed while we install some third party application. I just want to know if you can see Babylon.Toolbar in your current browser? If you haven't checked it out then check it and let me know so that I can have more clear idea of your issue.

Like I have said, I am quite sure I haven’t installed Babylon.Toolbar, I have checked out all of my browser and I can’t see it. I have gone through the addon’s and I cannot see it there as well. Other than this I have checked out in control panel and Babylon.Toolbar doesn’t appear to be there as well. I have made a search in my system and have not got anything related to it in result as well. Is there anything I can try out? Should I reinstall Spybot? I think that there is something wrong going on with it because of which it is reporting Babylon.Toolbar as threat.

I don’t think there might be anything wrong with Spybot but to be at the safer side you can try out uninstalling and reinstalling it. If that doesn’t help then you should better try running a through scan with any of these recommended antivirus and check out if they are helping you out in getting rid of it.
    • Avast! Free Antivirus
    • Microsoft Security Essentials
    • Panda Cloud Antivirus
    • Avira AntiVir Personal Edition
