while installing Spybot, getting error "Write of address 00000001"

I have been trying to install SpyBot S&D on my system running on windows 7 but as soon as I am clicking on setup file then I am getting an error message saying "Access Violation at address 712E01C1 Write of address 00000001". I don’t know what is the issue all about I have tried installing Spybot a number of times but I am welcomed with the same error message every time. Help regarding this will be appreciated.

I think that the installation process is getting interfered by some program, so while installing Spybot just try to close all the program that might be running in the background and see if it is getting installed or not. You can also try disabling antivirus or other security program that might be running in your system. Just try out these simple tricks and post back the result you get.

This is the minimum system requirement of Spybot-S&D:

• Windows XP SP2 or newer
• 512 MB RAM - Windows XP
• 1 GB RAM - Windows Vista or Windows 7
• 300 MB free hard disk space

Hope your system is fulfilling above requirements, I have found some people facing error because their system was not fulfilling ram requirements. If that’s not an issue then you can try installing Spybot-S&D in safemode and check out if you are getting luck with that.

My system is having 2 gb ram so I don’t think that there might be something wrong because if the requirement. I have tried installing it in safemode as well but I am getting the same error message there as well. I have tried closing all the other processes running in the background along with antivirus but no luck. I am always getting the same error message, I have checked about the same in other forums but I have not come across any effective solution to try. Is there anything else that I need to check out? Any solution that I can try out further??

Your issue seems to be weird, anyways I just wanted to know which version of Spybot-S&D are you trying to install. If you are not able to get rid of that error message then try installing the latest version of Spybot-S&D. If you face same error with latest version of Spybot-S&D then there might be something wrong in your system. You can contact Spybot-S&D official support for further help.
