Is there any similar tool like Angry IP

I think most of you here might be familiar with Angry IP, if not then I will like to inform you that it is a open-source and cross-platform network scanner for scanning IP addresses and ports. So here I wanted to know the best alternative for the same?? I know there are a number of them but I want you all suggest me the top ones so that I can make my choice from that. Thanks in advance.

In that case I will like to inform you that LanSpy - network security & port scanner is just compatible with Windows 2000/XP/2003 and not with windows vista and windows 7.I think Nmap ("Network Mapper") will be a better choice for you, it is available for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X as well. You can use Nmap for network exploration, it can be used for network inventory, managing service, upgrade schedules as well. Other than these things Nmap has below additions:

    Advanced GUI
    Zenmap - results viewer
    Ncat - debugging tool
Ndiff - utility for comparing scan results
    Nping - response analysis tool
