Is Fake Microsoft Security Essential tool still exist

Long ago Fake Microsoft Security Essential tool was on web and has spread in ample of systems. Recently I got a popup to download this. While I this installed already in the system. I ignored the popup. While searching on web I found that there was a fake mse tool which is actually a virus. The articles that I found about that was more than a 2 years old. So just want to know that this threat still exist. If yes then what is the way to avoid it and if someone installed it accidentally then how can I remove it completely.

Anyone can be fooled by this very easily.

You need a good antimalware. This is a malware virus and it was reported long back. I am sure there is not present now. But still if you worry you can install a good anti-malware tool on your system and stay protected.

First of all do not click on those popups. Second you must use a good internet security package to ensure that you stay protected as much as you can. Such kind of rogue virus are distributed in many forms. This is not actually a malware. It is a Trojan virus. And in the form of MSE it enters your system without getting detected. There are chances that such threat even exist today. Once it enter your system you can see a popup related to number of virus detected by this fake MSE.It will ask you to apply action and once you click on that it will start downloading certain updates.

The virus is very nasty and once it enters your system it will spoil everything. Using a good antivirus will keep you secure from such stuff. They simply block such popup before they appear on your screen. Fake MSE is not the just a alone antivirus, there are many similar to this. Some of them ask you to pay to buy a license copy which is a fraud. It is recommended that if you visit this popup while surfing any site you must not access it back. This websites are infected because of which you get the issue. Also never click on those popups and scan your system if you are getting regular messages on your screen.

There are many online scanner that can help you to find that your system is infected or not. If you get any of those popups on your screen you can check your system with that scanner. It check crucial parts of your system and verify system files. This rogue programs once installed on your system can download more threats. Day by day your system will become slower and your file format may damage. To protect your system from all this stuff according to me Norton antivirus is quiet better. I will advice that once you system gets those message avoid making banking transaction on your system. There can be other infection also which can track your confidential information. I had formatted my system when I got infected with fake internet security tool. What I know that there are no security software which can block them completely. And once they are in they keep on spreading. They affect Windows registry mostly. It starts from disabled task manager and slow system. Format your system for more security. One the first installation get a fresh antivirus and install it. Update it and then go for other installation.

I am sure this type of threats do not exist today unless you visit some websites which are infected by it. Do you know that some websites purposely spread malware. Avoid visiting such sites. Keep your search filter on maximum security.

It is a very old threat. It many exist but do not spread massively. This was some kind of nice tactics used by the attackers to fool people. Recently I faced a bitcoin miner infection on my system. It is a malware. This type of threats mostly enter your system through toolbar. Whenever we install free applications we get recommendation to install a additional toolbar. Like babylon. Soon you will notice that you are redirected to the that site automatically. And in your task manage the cpu usage goes to maximum. There are many threats of same kind. Keep your antivirus upto date and scan your system under safe mode. This will protect you to great extent.

There are virus, but they are controlled to great extent. I remember at the time when I use Windows XP I was more prone to attack. Virus enter via software, download, mails ,etc. But the operating system which are built today are more fixed. Keep your OS updates on so that you can avoids any security bug.

It is not right to say that we are secure completely. Virus can still enter your system easily. The best source of infection is pirated tools. I am sure that number of users still today use pirated software. They go on web and download keygen, cracks, patches, etc. to activate those pirated tools. Torrents are filled with it. If you can keep a habit of using tools which are not pirated the chances of facing such issue is reduced to great extent. Second it is necessary to use a full version antivirus software instead of free version. Because they lack some security features. I can say that a free version of antivirus is not fully capable of giving you protection. I had tested a number of tools in this series. Maximum free tools failed in complete security.

Keep your firewall on. It helps you to block direct un-authorized incoming connections. It is recommended that you must properly scan your system once you get any of those messages on your screen.
