Remove Backdoor.Multi.ZAccess.gen

Sponsored Links
I have scheduled my Norton Security to scan my system everyday at 9 PM when usually my pc remains at ideal mode. Yesterday when it auto scanned teh system, it reported me with a message saying "system infected by Backdoor.Multi.ZAccess.gen Trojan”. And since then am not able to do any thing on my computer. Browsers are not working properly, programs are not launching, windows explorer is freezing constantly.

To fix this i told Norton to kill it but it was just unable to do so. I updated norton and tried again but yet the same result. So apart from re-installing the system what is the another method to get rid of Backdoor.Multi.ZAccess.gen from my system. Please help.

Re: Remove Backdoor.Multi.ZAccess.gen

You are right. Once your get infected with Backdoor Trojan, you wont be able to do anything on your system because it takes control of your entire computer. This is a very high risk trojan that can change authentication and slows down your system making it unusable. It also hijacks web browser and redirect to other website which contain virus.

But as you said your Norton is unable to remove it, i would suggest you to better try out some another good and updated security suite. Because when i faced this virus i was able to remove it with MSE on my Windows 7. So just remove Norton from your system and install Microsoft Security Essentials. Its Free from Microsoft and effective as well. It will surely work but if in case it dint worked than try removing all files related to Backdoor.Multi.ZAccess.gen from your system manually.

Well, I’ll say that TDSSkiller is the best and very effective in removing all virus or Trojan including Backdoor.Multi.ZAccess.gen, as you can see in the image itself below:

Just download and install TDSSkiller from official website. Now launch it and click on Start Scan button. Wait for few minutes until it finishes the scan, once done click on Delete Button to get rid of Backdoor.Multi.ZAccess.gen virus from your system.
