| Re: gpedit.msc restriction disable/enable
It can be done from windows registry. You have to create a new value to lock down gpedit. For that the value you will need to modify is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer\DisallowRun. Before editing do not forget to get a backup of registry so that if you face any error you can restore that. You have to create the new string and then reboot your system. |

| Re: gpedit.msc restriction disable/enable In windows xp you can disable gpedit.msc by changing permissions for gpt file to read only and for that just go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\Group Policy , right click on the same and then on the gpt file check mark the read only option and then click on ok. If you are not getting the group policy folder then change the view so that you can see the hidden folder as well. Hope that helps. |
