If you wanted to know method to remove this type of malware which is getting installed on your iMac automatically, for which there is a setting which you can change in Safari. Just start safari, then open up preferences and go to general tab, just remove the check mark from the "Open "safe files" after download, once you have remove all of them just close preferences and it is done. Anyhow apple will be start shipping of new machines, which will be having all those settings in it. I have also heard that it will be releasing a Security Update which will change it. Apple had already promised an update for Mac OS X at the MacDefender malware. This is now available and downloadable for all Mac users. The security update is an update for the scanner only in Snow Leopard is processed. Apple has already released the security update. With this update the malware scanner to recognize and remove the MacDefender scareware. Also, Mac OS X after installing the update daily new malware definitions. Earlier there was porn MacDefender scareware. By repeatedly porn pop-up image to appear scareware tried to persuade users to fake antivirus software to buy. Through links on websites, in particular images in Google Images, this malware could spread. The support staff at Apple had specifically been instructed not to help Mac users to remove MacDefender. Apple's policy states not to provide support to users who have problems with viruses. Users have to fend for them but, for example by a free antivirus package available to install. Until now, Apple just did bare malware detection to its operating system. This is in contrast to Microsoft, which in every update round the malware scanner automatically updates and run a scan. This scan is for versions of Windows XP, Vista and 7. Eventually, Apple gave last week officially admitted that MacDefender and its variants of this malware problem on Mac OS X. The company now provides support and Mac OS X also provides a tool to remove it.

Meanwhile, the scareware itself again updated, with the result that it bypasses the update from Apple. Only hours after the release of the update had the malware developers have an update ready. Now the software MacGuard and has a new filename, namely Mdinstall.pkg. This version requires no password again to install and is not recognized by the antimalware tool in OS X Snow Leopard. Someone has told that "As virus experts know, this cat and mouse game goes on forever. Now Apple has to move,".

On the internet surfing at that time a new malware around that is provided for Mac OS X users. The malware called "MACDefender 'Safari is automatically downloaded and installed using javascript. The automatic download of the malware is done via clicking a search result in Google search. Using 'SEO poisoning "these links appearing in search results when you search on the term" games ". The malware occurs after the installation as a kind of virus and looks very professional. The applications will however false reports of viruses found on your Mac generation. To remove these viruses will be asked for your credit card information, after it has paid for a 'subscription' disappear virus alerts. The entire process is totally fake, there are no viruses present on your Mac and there is absolutely nothing away. To install the malware to complete the installation procedure must be performed manually and the administrator password of your Mac to be specified. This is obviously the effectiveness of malware undone, most Mac OS X users are in fact smart enough not just a strange installation process and to confirm their password.

Re: Mac Defender malware gets installed on Safari browser

Anti-virus software for Mac OS X was announced as fake. While calling himself "MAC Defender" anti-virus software of this fake, would be suggestive of this is the first time, that should not trust this software probably Apple's (U.S. not, "MAC" is the "Mac" is that it is produced). The creator of this malware, SEO poisoning in a search engine such as, "Google" performs a link to this software is to be displayed at the top of search results. It tells the user clicks a link that will be displayed in the search results, fake screen is displayed, and was "discovered" the virus. The JavaScript code that has been compressed MAC Defender installer will be downloaded automatically and subsequently. The installer is unpacked and turned on "after downloading" in the setting of "Safari" "Open` safe 'files option, to be executed. The installer for the user's password is required; installation is not performed if no user intervention. However, that may be fooled by less experienced users, and is this legitimate software. When displayed at the same time warning of "Growl" tell repeatedly by this software, and has been detected in a variety of fake malware, porn sites repeatedly open in the default browser. Users, "threat" of malware has been detected will be probably assume is authentic. Users are instructed to be induced in the web site is not safe, to "wipe out" the infection of malware and then pay the license fees. However, the purchase of the license is only to end the display of the warning of false information and credit card fee was paid, put away into the hands of malicious hackers. If you could be fooled by MAC Defender but less experienced users, in the wake of this software, and should be useful to check the safety precautions. Do not let the browser automatically open downloaded stuff. Click the "Cancel" when asked in the browser to not even try to download, and you want to run the installer. In addition, it means that you should not enter a password in order to run the installer that it is okay you are not sure 100%.
