How to stay away from unsafe sites in Google search?

I use Windows XP, Firefox 9 and Avira Antivirus software.

Recently, I googled for ‘Terms HSA Medigap’ and naturally, I got many results. I found oe of them helpful so I chose to visit that URL. Now, that turned out to be a disastrous decision.

As soon as I entered the page, Avira warned me of Trojan attack. I quarantined
    them.

Even since I’m shit-scared to even Google for anything. Is there any way that I can distinguish between a safe and unsafe site?

Which website are you talking about? The Trojan attack may not be from that website.

Avira must have done its schedule scan and must have detected Trojan that already existed.

No! I’m damn sure, it’s the website who’s the villain of the story!

Anyways, the website is: e-medigap dot com (here dot means: simple dot ‘.’ ) medicare-supplement-quotes-blog/medicare-supplements-and-hsa-accounts

My avira’s scheduled to scan at 12 noon and this happened at 10 in he night.

Dude, I did check and you are right.

    It’s an unsafe site.

But relax! We do have a solution for this.

There’s this firefox add-on called WOT (web of trust)just install it.

If the search result is dangerous it will indicate it with a red circle.
