VPN is not working via Netgear DGN3500

I wanted to access the inside the network from the outside network. I have already configured VPN on NetGear DGN3500. I have installed the VPN client on Windows 7 32bit pc. But no matter how I try, I cannot access the network. I don’t know whether it is the problem on just the Windows 7 VPN client. I thought that DGN3500 VPN service works fine.

AS far as I know that there is no way you are able to connect using the Windows native VPN client. Before using or setting up the VPN client, you have to make sure that what are all VPN clients are compatible with that model. There are several other VPN client compatible with the Netgear router along with Native netgear vpn client. However this Netgear VPN client does not available for free.

It seems to me that I have a same kind of setup which you have with Netgear DGN3500 Router but I am on Windows 2003 Server. Before hand I had Cisco router which was capable to VPN in from Home (Windows 7) without much problems. But now with this netgear router nothing is possible. Cannot access network from home or from anywhere. Still I can’t find out what I am doing wrong here. I think that I should again go back to my Cisco brand.
