First of all you have to check in the router if DHCP is enabled in it or not. In case if is then you will have to go to the start in that run and in that type cmd. In the command prompt type the following command in it ‘ipconfig /all’, that’s what you need to do. you will get all the necessary details out there. So hope that was ok for you. |

You can also try it with the ping command in the command prompt. That’s what you need to check out first. PING <DEFAULT GATEWAY> it should return you with the 100% success rate. So that’s how it is done. I hope you did understand what I am saying here that’s it from my side for you. |

See as far as you are able to connect the network card with the router properly then everything is fine all the DHCP requests are reaching router. |
