NOD 32 5.0.93.0 and 5.0.94.0 computer freezes after connecting USB HD

I am using NOD32 antivirus in my computer and it has never give me problem but after updating the NOD 32 to 5.0.93 version when I connect my hard drive with my computer at that time my computer freezes. Same problem occurs with 5.0.94 version also. Please tell me what should I do to solve this problem?

I would like to ask you that in your computer is there any software or tool running related with your USB hard drive? If there are any software or tool running then you need to close that software and after closing that software you have to check whether same problem occurs or not?

According to me this problem has occurred because of pop message of scanning from NOD 32 when you connect you hard drive at that time NOD 32 prompt for Scan hard drive. You should disable “Block removable media” option from NOD 32 and then your problem might get solved.

If you don’t know about how to disable block removable media option from NOD 32 then you have to follow this steps and then you have to first go to start menu and then click on all programs and after clicking on the all programs you have to click on ESET NOD32 Antivirus. Now after that you have to go to the advance setup and then expand Antivirus and antispyware. Now after that you have to click on advance setup and after that you have to uncheck Block removable media option and then click on ok.

In my laptop in I am also using ESET NOD32 Antivirus and I was also having same problem while connecting USB device with my laptop. Now after that I have come to know that by disabling Block removable media option I can solve this problem and then I have disable Block removable media option and then my problem get solved. I think you should also try this solution and then your problem will get solved.

Well I am not using any software related to the hard drive In my computer and after referring your post I have uncheck the option of “Block removable media ” from advance setup of Antivirus and antispyware but after trying that also I get same problem. Now please tell me what should I do to solve this problem?

After searching on the internet regarding this problem I have come to know that there is bug in the ESET NOD32 Antivirus 5.0.93.0 and temporary I have revert back to old version of ESET NOD 32 and I hope this problem will get fixed in the next update.
