    Getting urgent Security Engine Error after updating to Zonealarm10.1.065.000

    I have recently updated to ZoneAlarm Free Firewall version: 10.1.065.000 and after opening the Firefox browser I was asked to verify the Security Engine add-on. I checked out the "Zone Alarm Security Community Toolbar" and it was unchecked and just below that "Zone Alarm Security Engine" was unchecked as well but then when I checked out the same to see what difference it is making then I got the below error message:
    unload: [Exception..."Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIObserverService.removerObserver]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://trustchecker/content/trustchecker.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line: 991" data: no]
    I don’t know what is wrong but then I wanted to know if anyone has faced the same and has an idea in resolving it out??

    I will suggest you to better check out the Firefox browser in your case and make sure that it is updated, if you have not then update it and then check back the "Zone Alarm Security Engine" and then see what you are getting, if even this is not helping then I think that you will have to try out uninstalling and then reinstalling the program, just check it out and see which possible solution is helping you out.

    I am having the Firefox updated and I have found that is gets uncheck on its own when I close the browser, I have checked out the ZoneAlarm and all the other features are working properly except Security Engine, other than this I have also checked out the ZoneAlarm Security Engine via Firefox add-ons and it is appearing to be working fine without any issues. I wanted to add that the ZoneAlarm Security Engine is getting listed in right click menu of the toolbars where we get the Menu Bar, Navigation Toolbar, Bookmarks Toolbar & Add-on Bar option, so does that mean that ZoneAlarm Security Engine is a toolbar and so???

    I have been facing the same issue after updating ZoneAlarm free firewall to the below version:
    • ZoneAlarm Free Firewall version: 10.1.065.000
    • vsmon version: 10.1.065.000
    • Driver version: 10.0.217.000
    • ZoneAlarm Browser Security: 1.5.350.0
    • ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Scanner: 1.5.350.0
    • ZoneAlarm ForceField Anti-Phishing Database: 1.2.104.0
    • ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Sites Database: 04.155

    I have tried reinstalling both FF8 & ZoneAlarm Free Firewall but then it is not making any difference is there any other solution that I can try out???

    I think that it will be better if you just don’t uninstall the ZoneAlarm toolbar during the installation as you are already having two others website check tools but then if you are not willing to uninstall it then let it stay unchecked till a solution comes out for solving this issue.
