OS X Lion cannot share files over the local network

Yesterday we have realized that we cannot share files over LAN. Currently all systems are running OS X Lion. No changed the preference settings. We can access the FileMaker Pro databases files on a different computer over the Local network but if I log into computer remotely, then there is no way we can access the other files. Every compute has internet access. We need to share files in our office environment since it is necessary for our work. Is there any fix for the issue?

I hope that all the computers are perfectly connected and you configured everything to share the files in between the computers. Make sure that you have given access to the files so that they can access remotely. Usually the default settings work perfectly in this situation. However if the files reside in private folder, then you cannot access them. So make sure that files are in public folders so that you can drop them into your Drop box.

Usually the default settings sometime not able to share the files properly in between 2 computers over LAN. So far that I have found the workaround.
    • First of all Turned on file sharing
    • After this go to the Advanced Tab and turn on SMB (Windows Sharing),
    • Turn OFF AFP by Un-checking it.
    • I hope that now you can connect to all Macs.
    • If so then I will surely think that it is an AFP issue.

In my office we have upgraded all Macs to Lion and after that I have observed that there is no way we can mount shared folder between 2 computers. When I try the issue on Google search, there many people complained about the same issue. I tried different settings but no avail. Finally I did the same as he told. I turned off the AFP sharing. And the issue has solved easily. To do this
    • Go to Preferences> Sharing> File Sharing on the left-hand side
    • Now click on the Options button
    • Uncheck “Share files and folders using AFP”
    • At last Check “Share files and fold
