Connecting two switch baseline 2928 SFP Plus won’t gives links.

I have a problem . I have two switch baseline 2928 SFP Plu. But when I connect them both SFP ports 28 with the optic fiber , I don’t get the link . the syslog shows this

 2000  OPTMOD Warning MODULE_IN GigabitEthernet1/0/27: The transceiver is SFP_UNKNOWN_CONNECTOR.
  2000 OPTMOD Error TYPE_ERR GigabitEthernet1/0/27: The transceiver type is not supported by port hardware!

However when I disable and then enable one from Port Management SFP Ports 28, I get the link I tried to hard code seep and the duplex to 1000 full to get the link up however I am unable to make these changes . I have AVAGO AFBR-57R5APZ, 850nm LASER PROD, 21CFR(J) CLASS 1, CHINA 1001. Version 1101P07. Is there anyone here can help me on this I would be really glad to know this

I think the problem is with the model of transceiver which you are using. That can be a not approved transceiveror might be the issue with the port configuration or something else about that?

That is really a odd issue because I can use the Cisco, SMC, Netgear coded SFP modules with my 3Com 2928 switches. So the port configuration is not the issue , why don’t you update the firmware to release: V1900_5.20.R1108 (HP V1910 == 3Com 2928) here is the link for that

Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate your efford. I have upgraded to V1900_5.20.R1108 and that I s not working . now I don’t have link in the both port and I don’t have the link even when I disabling and enabling ports

Look like the it is the fiber channel SFP module and if that is the case then it will never work on the standard Ethernet switch. You do need a ethernet SFP one. And depending on the your cabling you need is 1000Base-SX for multimode fibers or 1000Base-LX SFPs for single mode fibers
