Local connection and limited connection to internet

Working with Vista i am unable to get onto the internet the wireless connections show IPv4 Connectivity local and IPv6 Limited i have used the youtube instructions to sort this out with no result. I have manually put in a ipv4 address and tried to disable the ipv6 but it is still coming up with limited ipv6 any advice would be helpful thanks

Open command prompt and try to ping "ping 127.0.0.1". If you get packet loss than there is problem. If its proper than there is no problem with your ipv6. There are many ISP's that do not support IPv6 yet. For more info, check out this: Windows Vista - IPv6 says limited
