How to reset Linksys Wireless-N Home Router WRT120N to factory defaults

Hello, i have got the new Linksys Wireless-N Home Router WRT120N and everything is working properly without any issue but recently i have lost administrator password and so now i am trying to reset it to factory defaults. While doing this i have noticed that my router has IP of 192.168.106.1 rather than 192.168.1.1 default IP. So, is there anyone who can help me to achieve this thing? Thanks

To reset your router to factory defaults, go through the below steps:
First shut down all system, that is; the router and the modem, and then unplug them from the power outlet.
    1. remove or unplug the cables from router
    2. start the router and allow it to fully boot
    3. now press reset button for 30 seconds, then release it.
    4. now again start the router and allow it to fully boot
    5. once you done this then just start the system and then ping your router.
    6. to ping your router you should open Command Prompt and type ping 192.168.1.1 and press Enter key
    7. now here you will get the reply from 3 to 4 times meaning your system found the router.

First of all remove the modem from the router. Now go to the network connection and after that right click on the Local Area Connection and then choose Properties. After that on the Local Area Connection properties click on the Internet Protocol TCP/IP properties. Now here make sure you have checked the obtain an ip address automatically check box and then click on the OK button. Once you done, then make sure you are getting the default gateway of the router and then try to open the setup page. If you get other gateway then i would like to suggest you to go through the above steps and reset the router.

There is a simple way to reset the router and to do this you just need to go through some steps. First of all press reset button at the back of the router for 50 seconds and after that just remove the router from power outlet and then reconnect it after few minutes. Now wait for the power LED light to come up and then try to ping with the router.
