Trouble installing MS Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac 2.0.1 on my MAC G5 with OS 10.4.9

I'm having trouble installing MS Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac 2.0.1 on my MAC G5 with OS 10.4.9. I successfully downloaded the Installer but I can't get the installation to go through all the steps. In the last step, during the actual installation, it stops and there is a message in the box that reads "Please try installing again" and at the top of the box a message reading "There were errors installing the software"

I did the entire process several times, even downloading the Installer and got identical results. I did not have any applications running during the install except Finder.

Does anyone have any idea how I might resolve the issue?
