Wanted to register Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G into Cisco Aironet AP

Right now I am having Cisco 7920 and Cisco 7921 IP phones which are working quite fine.
    Code:

       authentication open

    interface Dot11Radio0
    no ip address
    no ip route-cache
    !
    encryption vlan 57 key 1 size 128bit 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx transmit-key
encryption vlan 57 mode wep mandatory
    !
    ssid xxxxxxxxxxx

    speed basic-1.0 basic-2.0 basic-5.5 basic-11.0
    power local cck 50
    power client 30
    channel 2412
    station-role root

    interface Dot11Radio0.57
    encapsulation dot1Q 57
    no ip route-cache
    bridge-group 2
    bridge-group 2 subscriber-loop-control
    bridge-group 2 block-unknown-source
    no bridge-group 2 source-learning
    no bridge-group 2 unicast-flooding
    bridge-group 2 spanning-disabled
the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G is having
    Code:
    WLAN Driver 1.0.0.54
    Firmware ID 4.4.54.1
    Load Id is CP7925G-MFG-D.8.LOADS
    AP IOS c1100-k9w7-mx.123-7.JA5
However I need to register the device every time when I wanted to make use of it. I wonder that there could be some kind of restriction.
Post here if you are getting the same issue and provide the solution to fix the matter of yours.

Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7920 is using WPA with 802.1x and WPA-PSK (TKIP) as that of the 2.0 software release. You will need to configure the device by using AKM security mode. The last version of this particular IP phone was 3.02. if you set the access point at 50mW and client at 30mW then there could be miscommunication between both the device. You have to match power so that you can avoid the one way communication. Also I am suggesting that you should not use 0s for the WEP key.

You will be able to enable 802.11d on the AP of yours which is dependent on the type of phone and AP do you using. 802.11d did not seems to enabled by default on Cisco IOS AP. However it can be done on Cisco WLAN Controller.

As far as I know the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7920 is talking over WEP. Hence it is under WEP for voice. Well Cisco 7921 and Cisco 7925 are using WPA2. It is based on the firmware which they are using. There are people who need to upgrade the firmware since CP7925G-MFG-D.8.LOADS is the manufacturing firmware which was basically designed to make the phone of yours cross the line and so that it can get registered. I don’t advice to use firmware in to production mode since it is having the limited functionality. So take care of the same when you are looking to upgrade the firmware of phone.
