You can just follow the below steps for Win XP Home and XP Pro
First go to start and then click on run and then type “cmd” without the quotes
After that you will get a new window, so just enter “ipconfig /all” and remember there is space between the ipconfig and the forward slash
You will get information for the below:
    • Windows IP Configuration
    • Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection

Where you will find out the gateway address and subnet mask ask well.

You can find out the same with other method as well:
    • Go to start and then click on run and then type “cmd” without the quotes as above
    • After that you will see C:/Windows/System32/cmd.exe at the top of the window
    • A white cursor will be blinking at C:/Documents and Settings/Your Name >, so here just type ipconfig and then press enter
    • And now you will get IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway as well, just try it out and then let me know if you have any problem.
