Using the concept of VLANs with Wireless at remote office

i just want to setup the Wireless LAN using VLANs concept. i take help from Cisco and cisco advise me a wireless solution for this. after that i have setup a wireless lan. when talk to network engineer, he suggested to set up vlan for both catalyst 2960 so there will be no need to buy firewall and WLC. i already go through many post and many links but still not understand this concept. anyone else here who also have doubts in this or anyone who have any idea about this?

Switch will determine where the data will be forwarded and sebagainya.atau can also be used a software addressing (bridging software) which serves noted / marked a VLAN and workstations that connect didalamnya.untuk inter-VLAN router required.

A limitation of existing technology is that wired networks are often divided to how to handle. Companies with various buildings, such as hospitals or big business, often applying a LAN in each building and then connects this LAN to the router or switch-routers. Layer 3 segmentation has two main advantages. First, it contains effective broadcast, and seconds / second it is allowed to control access between segments on that network.

Segmentation of this type can also be implemented at layer 2 using VLANs on the button. VLANs are often seen floor-by-floor applied in multi-floor office building or for each remote building in a campus for the same consideration. Segment at layer 2 in this performance segment of the network with fully as if the various networks are being applied.

The user must have a method of exploration (roaming) across the boundaries successors without losing their connection layer 3. The layer 2 connection is still maintained by its access point access point, but since the IP subnet has changed as exploration, connection to the server, for example, would be damaged. Without subnet-roaming capabilities (such as by use of a mobile IP solution or using DHCP), wireless LAN access points, access points must all be connected to the subnet single (alias. "a network of flat / flat"). Work-Around this can be broken spoke network management flexibility, but the customer may wish to make this cost if they feel that the value of the final system is quite high.

A hardware solution to this problem will spread all access points on a single VLAN that uses a flat IP subnet for all access points so that no IP address changes for the exploration of users and a mobile IP solutions are required. The user then defined as the group returned to the network using a firewall, a router, a gateway, and others. This solution is difficult to apply in many instances, but generally accepted as "standard" methodology. There are many other instances where a company had to cancel the use of a wireless LAN because all such solutions are not practical.

An access point has been built inside the VPN server and execute the full routing, including the routing protocols such as RIP. Another solution is applied to one set of servers using the Mobile IP standard (RFC 2002). Many of these software solutions are applied in nature at least in the same way.

Same with all the access points on a single subnet, the mobile users are still facing problems of compliance. If a user is moved from the limitation, fulfillment into a hole, or simply a means to imprison extend battery life, all missing applications and users in the situation. These again are also forced to book again and find your way back where they stopped.
