unable to remove Win32/Olmarik.TDL4 in ESET

i tried with some recent anti viruses, and recently installed the AV software (ESET Smart Security 5) and was working fine. but recently there was a Win32/Olmarik.TDL4 trojan which effected by system . it is causing hanging issues and therefore i want to remove it. i am unable to remove it, do if you guys know some remedy for the same please suggest to have a solution over it.

i think in thsi vase you should try with TDSSKiller and there will be possibility of detection of the virus. you could try for various malware scanners inc.

the first thing you should try with id making sure that you have Daemon Tools installed. This program will enable and will interfere with some of the fixes and according to me . DeFogger will temporarily disable these emulation drivers.
make a proper download DeFogger

• to run the tool double click on the DeFogger .
• There will be an appearance of application window
• to have your disable possible of your CD Emulation drivers, Click the Disable button
• to continue click the yes button.
• there will be am appearance of 'Finished!' message
• clock Ok after this process.
• there will be asking of rebooting the machine by DeFogger . finally clock OK.

if the problem persist , you should do the following:

• make a download of the aswMBR.exe and then save it .
• to start the tool. have a double click on aswMBR.exe
• Click Scan
• click Save log and save it after completion of the scan
• there will be a creation of file on your Desktop named MBR.dat. select Send To Compressed (zipped) folder after having a right click on that file

you can perform a free online scan with the ESET Online Scanner

1. make use of Internet Explorer to scan.
2. accept the Terms of Use and then start
3. allow the ActiveX control to have a install and then begin.
4. you should make the options for the Removal of found threats to be Unchecked and the option Scan unwanted applications to be checked
5. then Scan and make use of the Notepad so that you are able to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt

there could be problems with your anti virus, if you are not getting the appropriate solution. i will simply recommend to un install thsi antivirus and make an installation of new copy of file or if you have a setup file of oter anti-virus have a install of it.if suppose the problem persists in your case then , that is definite that your operating system has gone corrupt. you need to format and there will be no problems pertaining after this.
