I have found a no of people who have been facing connection problem between the Atheros wireless adapters and the Linksys E Series routers but then i have found a driver that has solved the issue for a no of people who were having such problem so i think that you can try out the same, you can just download this driver and then install it and see if ti is helping you out as well. I think that it will solve out the issue because i have got a lot of positive response for the same. Just try it out and then let me know what you get. Best of luck.

Yes even i was having problem withe the Atheros AR5006 802.11a/b/g WiFi Adapter and one of the Linksys E Series routers but then i was able to solve iot out by the above driver, i think that it will definitely solve your problem too. Other than that i also wanted to share the same driver supprts the following devices as well, so if there are people who are facing the problem wiht the following adapters and the linksys e series router then they can try out the same:
    • Atheros AR5006 802.11a/b/g WiFi Adapter
    • Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g WiFi Adapter
    • Atheros AR5009 802.11a/g/n WiFi Adapter
    • Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter
    • Atheros AR9380 802.11 a/g/n WiFi Adapter

I am not very sure about that but then i think that you can surely try this driver out because it wont cause any kind of problem and if it does not work for you then you can just uninstall it and then install the driver that you are willing to install. I think that there is really no harm in giving it a try. If you do not have this driver then i think that i wont be possible for you to get it without the internet but then one thing that is possible is if you are having the same driver in dome other computer or you can ask any of your friend to get the same for you than you can just usb flash drive and then download the driver from there and then copy the same in to a flash drive, after that you can use the same flash drive to connect to your computer and then install the driver. Just check out which ever way is possible for you and do posy the result as well.
