Right-click scan method is not working in Ad-Aware 9.x

I am using Ad-Aware 9.x Free version and I have started using it recently and I was using MSE previously and I have switched to it because I have found Ad-Aware better than the but now the problem I am facing is that I am not able to use the right-click which we normally do in the other antivirus. Actually I am getting the “Scan with Ad-Aware” option in the right click but then it is not making any difference and it is not scanning the file or directory. Is there anyone who can help me out with this? Any solutions regarding this will be really appreciated.

I think that I have a solution for the same so just follow the below steps:

• First right click on the icon in the system tray and then just Stop and exit Ad-Aware.
• After that go to the task manager and then select the Processes tab in Task Manager and then click on show processes for all users.
• After this right-click a file and select that Ad-Aware and then it should scan without any problem, just check it out and then let me know what you get.

Hey I have followed the steps that you have specified but then when I am exiting the tray icon then I am not able to find the AAWService.exe in Task Manager but then when I am opening the Ad-aware through the desktop icon then I am able to see the AAWservice or AAWTray process in the Task Manager and this make me think that the Ad-aware is active and it is protecting my machine as well but then I don’t know why it is not responding the right-click in the context menu. Is there any other thing that I can try?

Can you just provide me the files that are located in the program folder of Ad-Aware. I will suggest you to download SystemLook software and then just run the SystemLook file and then copy and paste the below script in the big text field in SýstemLook:

"C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware"
If you have moved the Ad-Aware in some other name then enter the path accordingly and after the process will finish just copy the log and paste it here so I can take a look and help you further with it.

Looking at this I think that you are not having Ad-Aware folder in the folder where it should stay, I think that you might have deleted it by mistakenly or you have moved it to some other place just check it out and see if you are able to find the path of the folder.

I don’t think so I have checked it several times and I have found that the Ad-aware is installed in C:\Program Files\Lavasoft where as Ad-aware folder is in C:\ProgramData\Lavasoft and I don’t think that I have changed any settings by now. I don’t know when I am able to use it by using its icon on the desktop then why I am not able to use by just right clicking it. I just wanted to know if you are able to use the right click in your case.

Hey zared below are the malwares found by Ad-aware in my case:
Backdoor.Rbot -- from external USB, removed. TAI=10
Trojan.Win32.Generic.pak!cobra -- from drive C, quarantined. TAI=10
Can you just help me to find the contents of my Ad-Aware Directory? Evn I have run the SystemLook and this is what I have found:
