Netgear WNCE2001 does not able to get IP address from DHCP

I have got the WNCE2001 in order to connect my ISP Set-top box toward modem/router Wi-Fi access rather than utilizing the powerline adapter offered by ISP. I effectively set up the WNCE2001 which obtained an IP address from router, except the set-top-box might not obtain an IP address dynamically. I verified by connecting my laptop to WNCE2001 as opposed to the set-top-box, and I couldn't obtain an IP address, I configured a static IP address on the laptop and it worked effectively. Does the WNCE2001 have a problem by way of forwarding DHCP requests?

Controlling whether the times WNCE one IP has received from the port speed should be a 192.168.2.xx. And of course, the DHCP server on the port speed to be enabled, the MAC filter must also be disabled in the port speed. In addition, must be the LAN IP of the Blue Ray player in the IP range of the port speed. Whether you control the WNCE works best with a computer via a LAN depends on the MCE, if this does Sony Connect.

I have to turn off the automatic address acquisition (DHCP off) and enter the IP address manually so that the connection could be established.

This is always recommended at present.

I know the problem with Windows only, if the (second) LAN Card, when you say the board is still active. Have a go then disable it in the system. Alternatively, the router DHCP and static addresses assigned.

For some reason my Windows laptop had received no more IP from the DHCP server. What could be a safety feature to be yes? But annoying is when you walk in between networks. After intensive surveys of the landfill knowing there are the following solutions. Before you delete the files from the% windir% \ system32 \ drivers \ etc, you should make a copy of the folder. Just in case. That was it for now. To save yourself the reboot

I've also tried, but then I'm officially a true connection to the router, but I cannot nor I can ping the Internet router or other computers.

The reasons to manually configure the IP settings:

• The wireless router / Ethernet using DHCP server fails to generate an IP address. The creation of port fails then for the product configuration.
• Your network administrator has assigned you a static IP address reserved for use with the device (some ISPs do on request).
• A specific IP system can be used in a business or a large organization (such as school).
• The installation software needed to configure the wireless network adapter and the list of network ports, is not able to complete its task because the wireless router / access point (DHCP server) does not fulfill its function by sending an IP address.
