Need help to setup N300 wireless router Netgear WNR2000

I have recently bought the Netgear WNR2000 N300 and I am looking to setup this router so that I can get internet access. I followed the instructions given with it and tried to enter routerlogin.net in the Internet Explorer browser but I was now getting the login window as shown in the instructions. I want to assign a router password so for that what am I supposed to do? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

You will first need to connect the router to a pc with the cable that is provided with the router. After that go to Start and then in Run you need to type "cmd /k ipconfig /all" without the quotes. Now you have to press Enter. A black window will pop up, simply take a note of the numeric code beside Default Gateway, which might be 192.168.0.1. Close this cmd prompt then. Open Internet Explorer and then type this same numbers 192.168.0.1 in the url address. Now you need to put admin in Username and for Password simply enter password. This way you will enter the router page and then you need to setup your ISPs ip address and all.

When you are in the router page then you need to go to the Wireless Security or Network Security settings tab and then open it to find or change the WEP or WPA security Passphrase. You need to choose WPA because it provides good security. You have to write the security passphrase down and then put it in a safe place to access when you need it. Save the settings and then close your browser.

You have to go to Advanced section and then go to Lan Setup. Here you need to change the IP address to 192.168.100.1 and then click Apply. Just wait for 30 seconds and then disconnect the power to your modem and then unplug power to your router. Connect the power back to your modem and router and wait for 60 seconds. Similarly you can also configure your wireless settings by going to http://192.168.100.1.
