Re: Win 7 file sharing Problems.
This can be due to workgroup mismatch. Right click on My Computer and choose properties. In that check that your computers lie in single workgroup. Or else you will not find the pc or files in that. When you share any folder do not put any restriction. Share them as full. Follow the below steps :
On the computer with the Windows 7 Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center (Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> Network and Sharing Center), and then click on Change advanced sharing options (Change advanced sharing settings). In the Advanced sharing options (Advanced Sharing Settings) verify the settings with the following profiles for the home network or enterprise network (Home or Work) and public network (Public). If you want any user to have access to shared folders, turn off the password protection. This option is located in the Advanced sharing options at the bottom of the list.
