Downgrading c2110 ADSL Modem for Port Forwarding

I am having problem with my modem. I am using c2110 modem. I have upgraded its firewall few days ago. But now whenever I try to do port forwarding it fails. So I want to downgrade to the older version to do port forwarding. So right now I want v55.1.04.02 or V55.1.03.06 , my friend told me that this versions will provide port forwarding. And other question about it . if I downloaded one of them will I have to configure it after installation or will it do setting automatically. So I need help for reconfiguring it. So please provide me the solution.

First of all you have to check which version you are using you can follow this steps to find the version.
• Connect ADSL modem to pc.
• Configure tcp/ip settings for pc.
• Open internet explorer http:// ipadress of your system. Then press enter.
• Now the page will open type username as admin and you can keep password field as blank or you can enter admin as password.
• Now click ok
• On the overview device page you can check the firmware version of modem.

Try to do this it will solve your problem of port forwarding. Only one change you have to do Uncheck PPPoE option and select bridged. Now click on Reboot. Also try to user dialer setup in it. If it doesn’t work try to use those setting on another pc and check if it works for that or not. You can try to use UDP as the protocol it can solve the problem.

Re: Downgrading c2110 ADSL Modem for Port Forwarding

Your instruction are useful, I successfully installed the older version on my modem and also added port forwarding for it but the port forwarding still not working for me. To check whether it’s working or not. I have run my call of duty 4 server. In this I can connect using my ip address but I can’t able to connect using external ip. I have checked the port whether it’s open or not. But it’s closed.
