How to Configure BSNL Modem ZTE ZX II with Netgear WGR614

I am using BSNL Broadband. I have recently purchased ZTE ZX II modem. I have configured the this modem to connect to the internet. I can able to connect to the internet using this modem on my laptop. But I am having problem with my router. Whenever I connect the LAN connector to the wireless router to any of the output port so the connection doesn’t work. I can’t able to access the internet via the router. Please provide me the solution to resolve this problem.

I think its problem with the setting of your router which you have made. Try to make correction in the settings. If the settings are correct then you can connect to the internet through the router. Do any of the sites open with your connection? Try to check if you can access the site router login site. And do the settings there and check if you are connected to wifi network or not. If still you can’t able to connect to the internet post your settings here.

I have seen the settings you have made I will suggest you to do some changes in it.
    • In desktop settings go to network
    • Show all connections
    • Right click properties
    • Select Network settings
    • Now uncheck IPv6
    • Select tcp/ip
    • Select Properties
    • Select obtain ip automatically and obtain DNS automatically
    • Save the settings
    • Same thing do with WLAN network.
Now try to connection the modem to wireless router it will work.

I have tried the settings you have given. And it will be helpful for me. Now I am able to connect my computer to wireless network through router and able to browse the internet. But I can do this from the single pc only. Still If I try to connect to other wifi device or computer. I can’t able to connect to that device or the computer. Anyway thanks for providing the guidance.

I have also faced such a problem while connecting to wifi network using the router. Change the settings of the netgear router as follow.
    Go to basic settings first
    • Internet connection require a login set the option to no
    • Internet Ip address: Dynamically From ISP
    • Domain Name Server(DNS) address Get automatically from ISP
    • Router MAC address Use Default address for it
    • APPLY the settings

    Advanced Settings for WAN setup
    • select the Check box Connect automatically, as required
    • set MTUSize (in bytes)1500

    LAN IP Setup
    • set to ip address 192.168.2.1
    • Ip subnet mask 255.255.255.0

    Use Router as DHCP server

    • stating Ip address has to be 192.168.2.2
    • ending Ip address has to be 192.168.2.51
    • Check router STATUS it there has to be no BLANK COLUMNS in it .
    • Click Connection status
    • all the status will be shown up.

Now connect to network using router it will work.
