Looking for new Belkin N1 firmware

I have been finding for a proper place to asking for this question and finally I get it here. The belkin site didn’t help me. I have belkin N1 router which has display on it showing and monitoring the network and internet usage. The firmware it is having currently is F5D8231-4WW2.01.27 except on top of the belkin site there’s a new one which is f5d8231-4 v4000 ww v4.00.09.bin. Do you think that it is the newest? If I click on verify for fresh firmware on my routers page it tells there’s not one.

Practically all started with jdownloader, and how to reboot automatically via a script that allows you to automatically restart the router Now the problem is that I cannot even do this manually restart properly because the router goes off but at the end of the countdown does not start properly and I have no connection so if this system probably cannot even set jdownloader So I thought maybe updating the firmware of the router could be resolved but nothing I cannot update the firmware.

I had 3 routers, a d-link DIR615, Belkin N1 Vision and a Linksys WRT54G. I have been happier with the linksys since that is the only one that comes out of the box and no connection drops or have other annoying flaws. I recently dug my d-link op again only to be faced with the buggy firmware again so i decided it was time to take action DDWRT i slammed it on top. It works perfectly now. Now i was looking to do the identical thing through my Belkin N1 Vision except it appears DDWRT is not obtainable for it up till now. Currently I am looking for a few opensource firmware intended for the N1 Vision. I have previously checked for this except it does not list in the middle of the supported routers.

But i am computer literate fairly reasonable and Have a Knowledge of Linux. Oh and the N1 Vision! Cannot wait for this to Happen. It's a great looking router, but it is a bit limited on the feature front!

Re: Looking for new Belkin N1 firmware

I have the N1 Vision just two days and am disappointed with the possibilities. As I turn a web server at home and the occasional download via the P2P network, I am very fond of the internal IP addresses opportunity to reserve (due to port forwarding). This possibility is not to like the Linksys routers know it. The router indicates that the DHCP server, or should be off, so would every MAC address to connect to an internal IP address (have not seen how that would have tax). Then the authentication. The combination did not work on a laptop
