How to remove searchqu 406

I am facing a strange issue with my web browser. I am using Firefox 4 on my windows XP. Everything was working perfect but from last one week my Firefox 4 not working perfectly. When I open the Firefox 4 I get the www,searchqu/406 as home page and then I am not able to go any other website. I have found that the www,searchqu/406 is virus and I have tried the lots of solution to get rid of this issue but none of them helped me to solve. Can anyone suggest how I can resolve this issue.

Go to the following location and delete all the random file from these locations:

c:\documents and settings\[username]\[RANDOM].exe
c:\program files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins\SearchquWebSearch.xml
c:\documents and settings\[username]\[RANDOM].tmp (possibly)
c:\documents and settings\[username]\Application data\\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[RANDOM].default\searchplugins\SearchquWebSearch.xml

Now once you finish deleting all the keys, Reboot your machine.

1. Click on Start Menu Goto Run.
2. Type CMD.
3. Type sfc/scannow this scan your system.

This will repair your corrupt system files, once its done restart your machine.

Even I have gone through with same issue and I have tried lots of suggestion to get rid of the issue but none of them helped me to solve my issue and after that finally I have found solution from the internet. When we get the searchqu 406 toolbar we need to go to the below location and after that delete the searchqu 406:
C:\Program Files\Windows iLivid Toolbar\Datamngr\ToolBar

Now here delete the searchqu 406, reboot the system and then let me know whether your still facing it.

To remove the searchqu 406 you need to go through the following steps and after that you are able to solve the issue. To do this you need to open the windows explorer and under that locate to the below location and after that delete the file:

If all the above solution doesn’t help you to get rid of this issue then I’d suggest you to uninstall the Firefox and install the Firefox 5. If you are able to remove the existing FireFox from your machine then please follow the below steps. First go to the start icon and after that click on the control panel. Now in control panel go to the add/remove program locate Firefox and after that make double click on that and after that select the uninstall.

Hello even I have faced the same issue with my system as well and I have gone through the lots of issue to get rid of the issue but none of them solved my issue I have used the another browser on my system and after that my issue was get solved. So I would like to suggest you to make use another browser on your system and so that you can solve your issue.
