What is difference between Intel WiFi and Atheros WiFi

In the notebooks you can find one with Centrino technology means Intel based processor, MB and wireless card or you can find one with Intel Pentium M processor, MB and Atheros wireless LAN which is essentially a Centrino LT but cannot be called that because it does not utilize the Intel wireless LAN card. What is the distinction between the two wireless LAN cards that is constructing into either P series LT? Is one enhanced than the other? I want to know the actual difference between them.

Re: What is difference between Intel WiFi and Atheros WiFi

I would choose atheros now for their tools. I cannot consider of anything that I would like to organize that this service does not permit me to. Attractive handy! I similar to the locking onto a particular access point most excellent. I always utilize that because the access point closest to me type of messes up too much so I just prefers to always utilize an AP on the floor below me whatever the state of the AP just two meters away from me. If you want to know more then you will have to visit on the google.

I would like to tell you that Atheros is usually tremendous and extremely suggested for Linux, but on windows their drivers can in fact be not-so-better. The latest 3-stream Atheros stuff is actually tough to get, there are only a few cards that have been freed and are really for sale. I cannot actually say anything about them but I would love to purchase one of those cards. But before purchasing the card. You take advice with the specialist. And also see the actual difference on the both sites.

Actually as I know Intel runs fine on Linux as well. If the Vendor sustain Open Source you can be certain support on Linux is fine. Intel is reasonably energetic on Code role for Linux. The reason Atheros sucks is because for the similar charge you can buy a more influential Intel Card with Dual Band than an Atheros Card. Yes there are consistently powerful Atheros Card but they are prohibitively costly for related Intel WiFi Performance. As I know about this I told you.

In my opinion I do not believe it topics an entire lot, but Atheros is hypothetical to be a little enhanced due to the super g. but actually I would be worried more about the series which has a lot to do with the antenna. Therefore essentially, go with what is cheaper. According to me Atheros is better than Intel wifi because it is cheaper than theros. I read the difference between both on the Wikipedia. I want to suggest you that if you want to know about then you can go on the Wikipedia site.

Maybe you had a faulty card? Intel WLAN cards are the most excellent on the market, presenting from what I have utilized the most constant and consistent connections and presenting the finest driver hold up. I have had them all, Broadcom, Realtek, Atheros and Intel and Intel is hands down the winner so you can see the difference between them. I am recommending you that you should know more about then you will search on the Google. This is very best option to know in detail.

Re: What is difference between Intel WiFi and Atheros WiFi

As I know about this problem they present both cards due to purchaser order. Getting the IBM/Atheros card utilized to be the traitor suggestion since it was the steadiest and reliable .It also did a/b/g, whereas I consider the old 2100 Intel chip did not. But you are correct now with the 2200 chips (is there a latest one?) from Intel, have a/b/g and well-mannered process. That?s why the most important reasons to go IBM/Atheros might not survive. But some people still keep on away from Intel due to past experiences or based on someone else's recommendation. Hence a order for IBM/Atheros. Indistinct what this looks like from Linux-land, but I visualize both are almost certainly supported at this stage. If you want to know more about this then you will have to visit the Intel and Atheros site.
