How to remove startsear.ch virus

I have installed the windows XP on mine dell system and I have installed the Avira antivirus on mine system as well. Everything on the system working fine but form last one week mine system not working properly and I am facing big issue on mine system. While working on the system I have got the popup saying that startsear.ch detected. Now I don’t know what to do and how to can I remove this startsear.ch virus. Can anyone suggest on this issue and so that I can solve mine issue.

I have faced the same issue on mine system and I have followed the below steps and after that I have solved mine issue. To do this you need to go through the following steps first make click on the start icon on the desktop and after that click on the control panel. Now on the control panel go to the add/remove program and under that locate to the following program and after that remove the entire program and after that restart your system and after that go through your issue.
