As the internet technology is increasing rapidly, and now every want use the internet, so it is difficult for internet service provider to distribute the address of internet. The IP (Internet protocol) is a unique address that is provided to the each person, it helps the service provider to identify the user computer. So as population is increasing and internet connection is on-going demand so how this is going to be managed.

IPV4 is an abbreviation of internet protocol version 4, it is the forth revision version in the development of the internet protocol and ipv4 uses a 4-byte of address (32 -bit), ipv4 has address to 2 32 which limit the unique address. Unique address is very important, with ipv4 it is going to be end, so ipv6 has invented. It is having more space then the ipv4 and more advanced than it.
