Cisco ASA5520 vs Juniper SSG 320M vs Juniper SSG 350M.

Hello guys i need some suggestions from you, i am working as an assistant manager in IT company and i am not from the computer background so i don’t know much about the technical stuffs. And deciding new firewall for branch is given to me there will be around 10 web servers will be used, i have searched over the internet and i found three useful firewalls Cisco ASA5520, Juniper SSG 320M and Juniper SSG 350M and ineed your help to decide best one out of these three.

I don’t know much about the Cisco ASA5520 but i can give some point between the SSG 320M and 350M, as only from the name it’s clear that 350M much more functionality than the 320M but you can select it according to your requirements. Firewall performance for large packets and IMIX2 in 320M is 450+Mbps and 400Mbps and that’s for 350M is 550+Mbps and 500Mbps. Maximum number of users supported is unrestricted in both the cases. 320m have 3 Physical interface module (PIM) slots where as 350M has 5 slots. LAN and WAN interface options are same.

Well what i like most about the 350M is it has 128,000 maximum concurrent sessions which only 64,000 in the 320M. AES256+SHA-1 VPN and 3DES+SHA-1 VPN performance is 175Mbps in 320M where as in the 350M its 225Mbps for both. And New sessions/second rate in the 320M is 10,000 but in the 350M its 12,500. And Firewall packets/ second rate in the 320M is 175,000 but it’s 225,00PPS in the 350M.

Thanks a lot guys for reverting so quickly, i had posted this query on other forums site also but i got replies only on few them and those replies are not consists of so much detailed description of the product. Well guys you have given me the detail description about the Juniper SSG 320M vs Juniper SSG 350M but there is nothing about Cisco ASA5520, guys can give some detailed description of Cisco ASA5520 so then i will be able to decide.

Here’s full specification of Cisco ASA5520, hope with help of this you will be able to decide the best one out of these three. Firewall throughput in Cisco ASA5520 is upto 450Mbps. and VPN throughput is up to 225Mbps. concurrent sessions is 280,000 more than the above two. Interfaces are 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 1 Fast Ethernet port, and security contexts is upto 20. and Virtual interfaces (VLANs) are 150 in Cisco ASA5520.
